This is the longest-running northern lights photo tour in the Anchorage area. We pick you up at your Anchorage accommodations and take you on a nocturnal adventure to witness the beauty of the Alaskan night sky. It's a great option for any travelers to Alaska during August to late April. This tour accommodates serious photographers to sightseers.

We conduct a daily update that includes both the aurora borealis and weather forecast. The tour runs based on that forecast, but runs only if the forecast indicates a chance of seeing the aurora. Because both weather and the aurora borealis are natural phenomena, we cannot guarantee seeing the northern lights.

This tour increases your chance of aurora viewing success by allowing you to reserve as many nights as you like [space available] and only finalizing payment 48 hours in advance under the Reserve Now & Pay Later system. If you do not see the northern lights during your tour, you get a free make-up tour.

Our guide Rick was excellent even though it was overcast he was able to find an area that was clear so we could see the aurora unfortunately we couldn’t see it with the naked eyes but could see it with our camera on our phones excellent photos we took. Definitely recommend this group and Rick a very good person

We weren’t able to go on this tour as the weather conditions were not optimal to see the Northern Lights. However, we greatly appreciated the company’s honesty and integrity. They could have taken us on the tour anyway and kept our money but they didn’t. They were honest and upfront and refunded our money the next day.

Thank you so much for this review. We've had one-star reviews from other people who did not appreciate that we cancelled our northern lights tour due to bad weather. (Unfortunately, there are other aurora tour operators in Alaska who will run the tour no matter what the forecast.) But we are more concerned with ensuring our guests have a good chance at seeing the aurora borealis and, in turn, a good experience that they enjoy than we are with having that revenue. We are very proud of our data-driven process of determining whether to run the tour, and also take great pride in how we communicate with our guests. Thank you for your understanding - I hope we can get a chance to show you the northern lights again in the future.

Unfortunately, we were unable to go and view aurora due to poor weather. We were given two options to attend on a different day or get a refund. We couldn't make a difference day and had to settle for the refund. I must say the refund was action quickly and without any fuss on our part. For this, I strongly recommend this tour, as they have proven to be a credible business.
