We actually did both the Arches Tour and a separate Canyon Lands Island in the Sky tour. The Arches tour was excellent overall. Our driver, Damon, was humorous, knowledgeable, and very accommodating to our requests. And the Arches are worthy of their global reputation. Be sure to checked for National Park Service Timed entry requirements many months before you plan to come. The Canyon Lands tour was very different geologically with some pretty amazing formations. Our driver, Buzz, was more technical in his discussion of what we were seeing. He gave us a good overall understanding, though we wish he had been a little more willing to stop for photo opportunities at some of the sites we were seeing. We attribute this to his schedule constraints. He also told us multiple times how much better the all day Needles Tour was in terms of the Wow factor. Didn't really need that more than once. Most disappointing was that while we were given a great view of the are from low in the canyon, we never got to see the sites from the main upper park road where the Islands in the Sky metaphor. We highly recommend the Arches tour. For Canyonlands, we suggest you drive out the short (15 or so mile) main park road one day, and then make your decision on the lower canyon tour after that. It is a worthy trip, but almost half the time was spent in lands (all visually interesting) before actually entering the park. Neither adventure for people with really bad backs, some limited hiking on the Arches tour. We had very little out of the truck on the Canyonlands tour
