Hop into a Toyota Land Cruiser with your expert guide and head north from Moab to the backcountry entrance of Arches National Park and avoid the crowds.

Our first stop is to see dinosaur footprints. For millions of years this area was teeming with dinosaurs.

We pass Balanced Rock, one of the most iconic features of the Park, standing a staggering 128 feet. Landscape look familiar? Indiana Jones, and Thelma and Louise have scenes shot here.

The 4X4 trail into the backcounty climbs a short but steep rock wall passing sandstone fins, towering pinnacles and tall spires known as the Marching Men. We stop at Tower Arch for an optional hike.

As you travel along the track, hear informative commentary about the geology, wildlife and history of the park.

We make another stop at Eye of the Whale for an optional hike to a seldom visited slick rock playground named Herdina Park.

After exploring the backcountry we exit past the three gossips and Park Avenue before your guide returns you to Moab.

Arche’s 4x4 with Ric was a great intro to all that the park has to offer. First we entered the park thru the back entrance avoiding long lines. By doing so we saved time and saw other arche’s that are not visited by the mobs. The road was bumpy but well navigated by a very experienced driver. Ric was a wealth of knowledge for all trails in Moab. I was surprised to learn that some of the best hikes are not in Arche’s Park. Although the tour was 4 hours, we saw numerous sites and Ric helped plan our entire 4 day visit including where to view the best Arche’s at the perfect time of day. He also helped plan our meals and shopping. We were fortunate to win the lottery for Fiery Furnace and Ric gave us numerous tips on navigating the maze. What impressed me the most was that there was an elderly couple in our jeep and Ric showed an incredible amount of courtesy for the couple and at the same time made sure we were never slowed down. We had a wonderful time. I recommend the tour your first morning so you don’t waste anytime exploring Moab. We also hiked Grandstaff, Canyonland’s, and Dead Horse. We ate at top restaurants including Thai Bella, 98 Center, and Antica Forma. We stayed at Hoodoo which was phenomenal in so May ways. Navtec was great. Use them. Ask for Ric.

We did the 4 hour tour that started at 8AM. Our guide was Bronson AKA Branson and he was the pilot of our Toyota 4 runner Red Rock. He started off the tour asking about our group’s preferences and made sure we all had a great time. He took us to places we would have never gotten to see on our own unless we wanted to sacrifice driving our own vehicle. Bronson gave us interesting information about the area such as how the rock formations were formed, dinosaur tracks, and even a great lunch recommendation! We were offered water and snacks and had opportunities to use bathrooms. He took some spectacular pictures of my husband and I that we will definitely cherish. Bronson also mentioned other tours available which made us want to be sure and come back for more! I highly recommend this excellent tour. Be sure and ask for Bronson!

What an awesome experience to see places in the park few have been! Definitely a 4x4 experience and Matt did an awesome job maneuvering the sand and rocks! Was a magical time of day to see Tower and Parallel arches with no one else around!
