This adventure-packed trip travels through the 1,100-foot cliffs of the Royal Gorge. The Royal Gorge rafting tour is famous for its steep drops, huge waves, and continuous Class III to Class V whitewater. The spectacular scenery and rapids of the Royal Gorge will thrill even the most expert whitewater veteran. Previous experience is not required to raft the Royal Gorge. Suggested age varies with water levels.

I set up a trip for myself and 4 others to raft the rapids through the Royal Gorge with Raft Masters and it went off beautifully. Our ages were between 40 and 70 years old. Although rapids on this part of the Arkansas River are classified as Class II-V, we had no problems getting down. Our guide knew how to navigate every named rapid perfectly with his 18 years of experience on the river. It was in mid-September so the water levels and currents were fairly mild compared to an early Summer ride, so that minimized the chances of a flip or someone getting thrown out. The staff was always polite and friendly and their facilities are very well maintained. I would highly recommend Raft Masters, and we'll probably do the RG again when the water levels are higher to experience a more exciting ride.

Everything about this trip was great - from the ladies at the office booking it, all of the people helping with equipment and especially our guide, Aaron. He was fun and laid back and made us feel part of a family while still being professional and informative. We had a fantastic time - good water and great views! Thanks!
