We were in town to explore the brewery scene in Asheville, and our morning bike tour was a nice change-of-pace from our pub crawling. Torin gave a great tutorial of the electric bikes before we set off, and even though a few in our group hadn't ridden a bike in years, he helped everyone feel comfortable and ready for the ride. We stopped a few times to learn some history of some of the sights around town, but the majority of the time was a thoroughly pleasant trip through the city, into tree-lined neighborhoods, through greenways, up to the Grove Park Inn for a scenic water break, and down to the River Arts District. Even through all of that, the ride wasn't particularly strenuous thanks to the power assist from the bikes, making it a fun way to actively cover a lot of ground in and around the city while barely breaking a sweat. Overall, a terrific time was had by all.
