Have fun jamming out to authentic live music all over the city!

Check out live music shows at 3 (three) different venues. Entry fees/cover charges included. All performances and venues are authentically Austin, but will vary in genre, size, style and neighborhood.

Throughout the course of the Live Music Crawl, you’ll hear about Austin's live music history, get the latest scoop on the current music scene and see iconic venues and new clubs, all while getting an overview of the city. Our live music tours are led by local comedians, artists, performers, and music enthusiasts. You'll ride in style a Mercedes Sprinter van. Get out of downtown and see the real Austin. The duration of this tour is roughly three hours. During that time frame, you'll visit 3 (three) different venues and be back around 11pm. This tour simply rocks! If you enjoy fun people, live music, and learning about the city of Austin, this is the tour for you. Please check in with the Austin Detours tour guide in front of the concierge desk of the Hilton Austin Hotel, located at 500 E. 4th St.

Enjoyed blues, jazz and some country music. You should definitely inquire as to the type of music you will be visiting on tour to be sure it is consistent with what you like to listen to. Even though I'm not necessarily a jazz and country fan I did enjoy the music at places we visited, but not exactly what I was expecting.

We are both in our 60's but I'm not really into the "bar" scene. (Hubby booked this tour!) However, we got to see 3 wonderful bands in 3 different venues. Our tour guide said there are about 250 music venues/bars in Austin! Truly a great scene more for the younger set.

My daughter and I went on this event together. It was the best activity of many planned events for a four night mother-daughter weekend. There is no way a visitor could have known about these authentic venues. Even a local in the know could not have made it to all 3 of these spots in one evening. We had a taste of the wide variety of great music and night life in Austin. The guides were nice, thoughtful, fun and knowledgeable about all things Austin. We will do this again on subsequent visits!
