This is our favorite tour! We care about you, your experience, and your time in South Dakota.

You'll be taken to special locations where animals congregate during the setting sun. As you enjoy the wildlife of the Badlands, we'll take care of any photos you wish. The "Blue Hour" begins after sunset and continues for an hour, highlighting the wild formations with the bright blue and orange sky.

Next, we'll take you to the night viewing area in the park at a location only My XO Adventures knows. We'll see planets, shooting stars, and the Milky Way Galaxy.

Our highly skilled guide will capture night photos and share them at the end of the tour, ensuring you have great memories of your experience.

We had an incredible day with Daniel. He isn’t a random tour guide, he is all about the experience and making sure you enjoy every second. Daniel is extremely knowledgeable, genuine and well travelled. He made our trip! We highly recommend doing this tour, you won’t regret it!

Complete waste of a lot of money. Could have hired a car and done our own tour. Guide was a replacement for what we understood to be a replacement of the guide we actually hired. Looked like he just called a friend to drive us out as he was unavailable. E should have been a professional guide with a license. We were driven to a public observation presentation that was open to anyone so they could explain the badlands. Don’t know why it cost $1000 for this tour. Ridiculous and excessive for what was given for the experience. Don’t waste your money and just rent a car. Viator is not screening clients and just trying to look for a profit using anyone!

Hi Sheila. This review is the first 1 star we've received in the company's history. I tried to find your reservation, but I couldn't. The last tour that we offered to the Badlands Night Sky Program was in September of 2022. You may have the wrong company. At any rate, for those reading this review, we do have professional drivers and guides. We do not send friends to conduct tours. Our Badlands Sunset and Night Sky Program includes a private pickup, professional guide, star maps, water, snacks, pillows with disposable covers, blankets, red flashlights, laser pointers, and a private location to enjoy the Night Sky. We do not go to the ranger program that is referenced in this review. This is actually a fantastic tour, where you can see 7500 stars with the naked eye. We also take you to the best places in the Badlands for Sunset. It differs throughout the year based on the position of the sun. I do not recommend renting a car. It's very dark in the Badlands and on the ride home. There can be quite a few animals near the road, and an untrained eye could prove disastrous. Sheila, please get in touch with us directly to see if you have the right company. If, for some reason, it was My XO Adventures; I'd like to do what I can to make it right.

This was a wonderful tour. Our tour guide, Daniel, was great. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He made sure we got to see and do all that we expected. We saw prairie dogs, big horn sheep, a coyote, buffalo, and antelope. The night sky was awesome. We never realized how many satellites were in our skies. Daniel had water and snacks for us. Thank you for such a rich experience.

Thank you for writing such a nice review Mary Ann! This is my favorite tour and I’m glad you enjoyed it so much too. The night skies are the best here in the Badlands. We do our best to make sure you view the sunset and stars most comfortably. The places we chose are off the beaten path to avoid the crowds , while the mats, blankets, hot cider, hand warmers, star charts and lasers bring it all together. I never get tired of seeing the shooting stars, planets, satellites and occasionally the star link launches. It was a lot of fun and I hope you come back to see the park again.
