Aurora Camp is located on a hilltop near Murphy Dome, a top Northern Lights viewing spot near Fairbanks, favored by Aurora photographers. The cabin sits in an area with wide-open views, free from light pollution or any obstructions, offering a full panoramic view of the Northern Lights. Relax in a cozy Alaskan-style cabin with six large windows providing over 180° of stunning views while enjoying hot chocolate in comfort.

* 1,500 sq ft new cabin, built in summer 2023
* Free portrait photography
* Indoor restroom
* Unlimited hot chocolate, coffee, tea, snacks, board games, etc.

Tour Options:
* With transfer (pickup and drop-off): Available from all Fairbanks and North Pole hotels, Airbnbs, etc.
* No transfer: Drive your rental car to the cabin. The roads are well-maintained and in good condition.

My wife & I had a great Aurora viewing experience at the Aurora Camp location. As an Anchorage Alaskan amateur photographer this was a wonderful place to view and photograph the Aurora and company owners are wonderful. Lots pf wide open viewing area to the north with no city lights. Often I have spent freezing nights outside waiting for the Aurora to perform. This way a great place to stay warm and hop in and out of the warm cabin to view the Aurora when it peak. The drive up the 2800 ft hill/mountain could be difficult so a AWD/4 Wheel is recommended. The city does plow the road.

Joy and David are excellent, entertaining, enthusiastic hosts and great drivers. When we visited they even delayed the return to our hotel so we could see the lights that had got stronger just before the published end time. Highly recommend trip.

Joy and her husband were fantastic hosts. They did everything possible to ensure a great experience. We were lucky enough to see the lights after waiting a few hours for them to appear. Highly recommended this tour.
