Aurora Camp is located on a hilltop near Murphy Dome, a top Northern Lights viewing spot near Fairbanks, favored by Aurora photographers. The cabin sits in an area with wide-open views, free from light pollution or any obstructions, offering a full panoramic view of the Northern Lights. Relax in a cozy Alaskan-style cabin with six large windows providing over 180° of stunning views while enjoying hot chocolate in comfort.

* 1,500 sq ft new cabin, built in summer 2023
* Free portrait photography
* Indoor restroom
* Unlimited hot chocolate, coffee, tea, snacks, board games, etc.

Tour Options:
* With transfer (pickup and drop-off): Available from all Fairbanks and North Pole hotels, Airbnbs, etc.
* No transfer: Drive your rental car to the cabin. The roads are well-maintained and in good condition.

Feedback for Northern Lights Tour This tour was an absolutely incredible experience! The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip even more enjoyable. Seeing the Northern Lights was truly magical and something I’ll never forget. The photography, which was part of the package, was a great addition—it allowed me to fully enjoy the moment while still getting amazing pictures to remember it by. Overall, the tour was well-organized, and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to witness this natural wonder!

A wonderful experience! We received a ride to the warm, clean, and cozy cabin. Snacks and drinks were provided, along with a restroom. Our hosts provided information about the aurora and when we might see it. When it did appear, we received 2 portraits from David with the aurora in the background along with other professional quality pictures of the aurora that was much better than our cell phone pics. This is a great way to see the aurora away from the city lights, and you can always go back in the cabin to warm back up. If you are trying to watch the aurora but also want to be comfortable and want professional guidance and photography, book this!

Joy and David are wonderful hosts, they take care of you like family. Their cabin is warm, cozy, very very clean and is fully stocked with snacks & board games. More importantly it’s at an elevation & has an unobstructed view of the sky, when the lights came on it was truly magical to watch. If you are traveling with young kids, look no further this is the BEST option in Fairbanks!
