We had just one day and Big Bus was the perfect way to enjoy the city. The guides were very informative and kept the humour going along to break the monotony. I wish they had bus service beyond 5 PM as we wanted to stop at couple of points but since it was the last bus, we had to skip it. Another area of improvement is live tracking which is non existent.

The tour is not so good compared to San Francisco. There is no language selection in German. Only 3 languages. English, Spanish and an Asian language. Also, the tour was not as filled with information as in San Francisco. Times were too long. Especially with the blue route you had to wait 1 hour. But buses can also leave much earlier than 10 a.m. The seats upstairs were partly dirty and full of bird droppings. Also, the promotion helpers down by the bus don't really know their stuff. I would not do the tour in L.A. again and would take another provider that also has German as a selection language.

After the tour in San Francisco with the same organizer (BigBus), which was really top, this tour in Los Angeles was not so good. The buses were often delayed (we therefore missed the Celebrity tour), the route was clear (but not spectacular) and with long waiting times in traffic. There are two round trips (red Hollywood and blue towards Santa Monica) with a common stop. From Los Angeles, you can only see Hollywood (and Santa Monica in the blue route), not Los Angeles Downtown We had purchased the two-day ticket, but then used more and more Uber taxis to get from A to B stress-free and on time (and cheap!)...
