Bought two day deluxe. Night tour was not at night despite all the pictures posted on web site. It was finally “dusk” at last stop. Why the started before dusk? Day two - only after loading app on phone is it clear blue line not running. With only one line running wait times are well over 30 minutes. The app kept giving us pick-up time for stop #2. But after 5 o’clock the times disappeared. I thought the buses ran till 6, and the app showed the next three times. So after many disappointments walked to Smithsonian metro station and finished our day. I’ll never get that time, sweat or money back.

We are sorry for your experience. The Night Tour leaves stop 1 at 7pm. During this time of year it is typically still light outside. The Night Tour offers a different route and a panoramic experience through areas the day tour does not go to. Our day tours run beginning at 10:00 am with the last bus leaving stop 1 at 5:00 pm. The frequency is every 20-30 minutes and higher on certain days. The app gave you pick up times for stop 2 as it was based on your proximity to stop 2. The blue line promises transportation to Arlington National Cemetery which is accessible from stop 4 to 5 on the red line. When you come back to town, find us at the corner of the International Spy Museum and we can walk you through all of your questions!

First bus was pathetic. AC did not cool off bus, could not hear narration because engine was so loud. That bus should not be in service period. We got off at the Lincoln Memorial which was historical, and boarded a newer bus which AC worked and you could hear the narration. The tour was as advertised from that point on. If your clients can take the heat from your old bus still in service for your monetary gain, your company can take the heat for including a discussion of the insurrection when passing the capital on your recorded narration. I would like to mention Diane, ticket sales, who stayed on the phone, and even called us back when we were disconnected, to provide exceptional service when purchasing our tickets.

Contacted the tour guide the night before to ask where the pickup location was. I didn’t get a reply I indeed got the location that I saw I under the detail and didn’t see any your buses. Called 1800 number to get the address it was a 15-20 minute walk from where I was hit there no one was there. Husband puts the address in his gps and it reads they were closed. So I bought tickets didn’t receive a time fir the tour or boarding location and basically was jipped and lost time and money. The assumption was since there wasn’t a time the buses ran all day and evening. Communication of details needs improvement!!! I’m highly upset!!!

We are so sorry for your experience. It does not sound like you purchased tickets through the Big Bus Tours website or app. If you were to use that, we have live bus tracking, stop information, routes, and bus frequency times. The best way to contact us is through the Big Bus Tours app or webchat feature. Our daily HOHO tours run every 20-30 minutes, 7 days a week, from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. We do not have tour guides, however, we offer our tours in 8 different languages on pre-recorded commentary. Again, sorry for your experience. Please try us again when the conditions are more favorable.
