If all the Smithsonian museums are free, why was I being charged to enter the African American Museum? I ordered tickets online via a third party, that advertised Big Bus hop on hop off tour accompanied by entry tickets into the African American Museum. I received tickets to get on the bus but, I was turned away from entry into the museum because I did not have the proper tickets. I was extremely disappointed and inconvenienced. I got in touch with the third party and will be refunded $120.00. Not sure if this is a scam or not.

Absolutely horrible!!! The buses did not have air conditioning and thetemperature outside was 96 degrees. Even sitting on the top wasn't a help due to the hot sun at the many stops the bus makes. The 2 day pass was also was misrepresented on the website. It never indicated anywhere the pass had to be used on "consecutive days" until after you pay and receive you ticket. I called the customer service number to get an automated recording and then the option to leave a message. I left a message and emailed them and received NO response.

We purchased a two day premium ticket, and both days had more negative experiences that positive ones. The buses were broken down and overheating which turned 20 - 30 minutes waits into hour long waits in the heat. We tried to be understanding of this because of the heat wave, but the tour guides and other employees were rude and inconsiderate. They would group up at the stops and talk to one another while ignoring customers. We had drivers that would begin driving while we were still on the steps headed to our seats. Overall, my family and the other customers were treated as if the employees were frustrated that they had to work. This was our third Big Bus tour (one in Chicago and one in NYC previously). We will not be purchasing another one. The local buses seemed to work better and be better kept by their companies.
