I gifted my daughter a trip to DC for her birthday and thought this would be a good way to see the sites. Unfortunately, due to several factors, many of the streets were closed so we were unable to visit many of the monuments. While this was not the fault of Big Bus Tours, what we found frustrating was the fact that the pick up sites are not numbered and do not match the areas on the app. It was very confusing to know where we were. We did find one of the stops and waited for over 30 minutes for a bus to arrive. They never showed up so we ended up calling an Uber driver to take us back to our hotel. Not to mention, my headphone connection on the but that is supposed to explain different parts of the tour was not working so my daughter and had to share a headphone. Certainly not worth the price we paid for this tour.

Taking an hour to go around a block. Literally an hour. Getting stranded at Arlington. We were by the bus stop at 5:30. Gates closes. No update on where to meet for a pick up.

We’ve made some improvements to our website and app to provide clear information about each stop, including addresses and photos to help with navigation, as well as our operational hours for the Hop-On Hop-Off Tour. Was a hot day. No a/c on the bus. When I notified the driver, he couldn’t have cared less. Bus was VERY hot. Wife’s jack for her headphone was intermittent. Was not an enjoyable experience.
