Dylan was super helpful and responsive to calls to the office. Super cool thing to do. I never had heard of this before. Fascinating the way the jellies light up in the nets. They don’t sting so you can touch them. My kids are young adults and were talking about it days later. Nature won the competition with the theme parks this trip thanks to dylan and amara.

We booked our tour in advance but on the day the weather was pretty bad with rain on and off. When we arrived at the meeting point there were only the two of us as everyone else had cancelled, after all what's the point of taking a sunset cruise if there is no sun? Well I'm afraid they missed out! Yes it rained, and yes it was cloudy but that didn't matter. The manatees were amazing, I can't believe how close they came to the kayaks. We even saw a pretty big alligator, but we gave him plenty of space! We had plenty of time on the water and our guide Jarred answered all our questions about the local wildlife. We headed back to dry land for a short break while we waited for darkness to fall and others to join us for the bioluminescence part of the trip. This gives you chance to have a snack so it's worth picking something up on the way. There are no facilities nearby other than the portaloo so take what you need with you. I'd also recommend taking a full change of clothes and an extra towel to sit on in your car. So onto the next part of the adventure. Back in the kayak with a few more people joining us, some in kayaks and a group in a raft, off onto the dark waters we go. Paddling in the darkness following our guide we reached a small inlet. This is where the magic happens. As we paddled the water lit up with sparkling light. A magical sight and a memory that will stay with me for a long time.

Thanks for this fantastic review of the Sunset and Bioluminescent Kayaking tour! It's true, it can be really wonderful even if the weather is not perfect. The wildlife love the rain and especially right when it lets up they are very active. Also, bioluminescence is brighter right after a rain shower. We are glad you liked the tour and we will pass on your compliments to Jared.

Beautiful night with my husband as we did the clear kayaking bioluminous tour. When you look through the bottom of the boat the plankton look like stars going by... it was like nothing I have ever seen. We loved it. Also, guide caught comb jellies in a net. They we flashing all over the place. He said we got the best of both bio tours because they plankton were really bright and there were still jellies lighting up. It was very very dark, and that can be a bit unnerving at first, but then when you see how the water is lighting up all around, it's totally worth it. We were blown away by this experience. Already planning a trip back for the summer season and bringing friends! Would recommend this tour to anyone - more than I ever imagined. I love BK's fun team too. They all helped out on shore, and then the guides checked on each others groups out on the water. Avi was our fantastic guide and it amazing tour!
