Trolleys depart every 30 minutes. Each loop lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

The most exciting Hip on Hip off trip I have ever had. It was truly amazing and exciting. The guides were very informative with great sense of humor. A lot of fun and laughs. You can hip on or hip off at any stop you want. Buses are regular with mostly 10 minutes interval. I hipped off in three stops: USS constitution, Boston Massacre and Boston Tea Party. I enjoyed it and I recommend it to all Boston visitors.

We stayed on until stop 12 the first time. The driver (Uncle Steve) was courteous, and informative. The bus was full and there were a few stops where people waiting couldn’t get on but Uncle Steve radioed ahead to send another bus. We then got back on at stop 2 to 14 later in the day (different driver) but this was another full to capacity bus. We had no problems getting a bus, but I can well understand why people might be frustrated about not getting a bus. Thankfully it all worked out for us. Yes, it is a little expensive but it’s a great way of seeing Boston, especially if you’re pushed for time, like we were, but want to see as much as you possibly can in a day.

I was on a cruise with my wife and one of our port of calls was Boston. Instead of using an excursion from the cruise line, we decided to do our own thing and did the Boston Trolley. It took us to all the sights we wanted to see. Each driver (hop off / hop on) on each trolley was unique and had their own stories and experiences to tell. We would do it again.
