Our guide, Kristin, was delightful. Her sense of humor and all of the details she was able to share made the tour exceptional.
If you are a history lover, you will really get your money's worth here. If you have ancestors who came over on the Mayflower, this tour provides a great overview of the area where they settled.
Some highlights:
* The John Alden house in Duxbury. We had several people on our tour whose ancestors founded that town in 1637.
* Quincy, Massachusetts: the John Adams home (Peacefield) and Hancock Cemetery (named after Reverend John Hancock, father of John Hancock who signed the Declaration of Independence.) Also, the first Dunkin Donuts! We filled up on pumpkin donuts.
* Filming location of "The Witches of Eastwick."
* Mayflower II, Plymouth Rock, Plimoth/Patuxet Museums, National Monument to the Forefathers. A shout out to "Tavern on the Wharf" for the best fish and chips I've ever had. This restaurant is a short walk from the Mayflower II.
* And so much more. Beautiful architecture. lovely coastlines, lighthouses.
I definitely want to come back and spend a lot more time in this area, but this tour gave us an excellent taste of what is there. We are so glad we signed up. Both I and my 17-year old had a great time. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this incredibly detailed AMAZING 5 star review of our Plymouth day trip. There is so much history in this area and we try to touch upon as much as we can. Kristin is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to this and her personality just enhances the journey. I am glad that you had such a wonderful day. I appreciate you sharing your experience.
