This gem of the Rockies is a couple of hours from Denver and was really thrilling and I would recommend the adventure to anyone with even the slightest desire to do something different and cutting-edge that looks so scary but is relatively easy. The cables get longer and faster as you go through the tour and as you gain experience, you are ready for more and they give it to you! Even the girls who were afraid of heights made the whole zipline tour and had haven't stopped talking about it-a week later! We went in February in the snow as they are open all year long. The weather was great as it often is in the Arkansas River Valley even in mid winter. Take this zipline tour for the thrill of a lifetime! We are bringing our friends back this Spring for a group team-building activity. They are building another cable for more high flying action, can't we can't wait!

We had a lot of fun ziplining with Captain Zipline! They have about 6 cables of varying lengths and heights (and they are in the process of adding more). Beautiful scenery. Guides were super friendly and knowledgable. Great value compared to ziplining trips around the US that I know of. Not exactly super thrilling though, so if you're an adrenaline junkie looking for that jump-out-of-airplane rush, you'll be disappointed. Not physically demanding, so if you happen to be in the area, try to also squeeze in a whitewater rafting trip.

My family drive to Colorado to sightsee and hike but our Zipline adventure was the most exciting thing that we did together! I researched a lot of hotels and activities on Tripadvisor in preparation for our Colorado vacation but this was the day that I was looking most forward to. Before our trip we watched videos of people ziplinning on the captain adventure website but we also saw clips from Denver TV stations that showed people doing it. We were all scared/excited for the day to come when we got to try it ourselves. When the day finally arrived we were nervous but kept going along for the ride. I can see why this would be something that companies would do for "team-building" as going through this together with my family created a memory that I know none of us will ever forget. If you think that you may be interested in this I recommend reading their web site for details as I got most of my answers from there. I would recommend this to anybody who is physically able to do it as you will have a great time. I originally thought that the price was a little too much for an activity on our vacation but after riding the ziplines I would sign up to do it again the next time I had the chance. It was AWESOME! Lastly, I want to mention how wonderful the guides were that led our group. They were patient when we were learning how to zipline and answered all of the questions that came up. When we approached the first zipline over the canyon, my teenage daughter was getting ready to freeze up and not even try it. Thankfully Kelli, the female guide, showed how truly caring she was by talking to my daughter and helping reassure her that she could do it. As a father I was in a no win situation as more talking from me wasn’t as likely to make it better. However, Kelli was in a position to help my daughter through her fear and by the end of our adventure all the fear had been replaced with excitement. Kelli turned what could have been a miserable experience for us into a triumph for my family by her encouraging words and actions. Later, when I thought about it I realized that Kelli probably has had to deal with that type of situation every day but instead of growing impatient with it she showed how good of a person and employee she was by handling it the dignity and grace.
