When booking our sister trip to the Monterey area, we looked for a foodie tour with great reviews. We try to do one every where we go. Carmel Food Tours in Carmel was both highly ranked and in a place none of us had visited yet.
We were met by Amber at 10:30 at the designated spot and headed out shortly after with 13 others.
First stop had a pulled pork slider, along with house-made fries and a glass of locally made white wine. All terrific. Next stop was sausages (Polish or Italian) or a hot dog. Very, very good. Next stop, local honey shop - Carmel Honey Company. Great products and a neat story. We spent quite a bit here. Next stop tacos and margaritas. So yummy. Then a nut shop (Nut Hut). Debit cards took another hit. Bakery with a spectacular éclair was next, followed by a chocolate shop. By that time, I couldn’t take another bite.
Amber was a lovely, fun host and we learned fun, local history while enjoying great noms. We’ve done these all over the world and this ranks as one of our favorites. Would definitely do again if in the area.
Thanks, Amber, for a fun sister memory. We had a blast.
