I have been coming to Carmel at least once a year since the early 80s and this is one of the best activities I have ever done. I learned so much in three hours about the architecture, culture, history, wine, and especially the food of such a wonderful destination. I cannot say enough great things about this tour and why it would be fun for both locals as well as tourists. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and so interesting that it made the time fly. I also discovered several new places to eat that I will be trying on my next visit. This tour is a must and I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.
This was an excellent tour. We found 2 new restaurants we want to return to for a full meal. In addition to some great stops, the guide, Stacy, also filled us in on occasional historical tidbits. Fortunately, the weather cooperated and the rain held off until evening, but even if it had rained, it would have been a thoroughly delightful experience. Recommended for anybody who wants to try some good food and wine and doesn't mind walking a bit. The walking actually helps wear off the calories from the generous samples and the stops give you a break from the walking.
Best time while in California! The food and wine choices were fantastic, the restaurants were exceptional! The chefs, wine sommeliers were gracious and spent time with us. Mig our tour guide made this experience 10 stars! I shared this tour with 3 of my high school girl friends, two of which are from the area, everyone had a wonderful time. I am a certified KCBS BBQ food tasting judge, the food was exceptional, well paired with the wines served, the serving sizes were perfect. This tour rivaled the walking food tour I did while in Paris, France. Do not miss this one, I did not want it to end! Worth every dime, well done Carmel!
