Capitol Reef National Park

Join us for a drive through Capitol Reefs back country to a scenic paradise of desert landscapes in our luxury 4X4 vehicle through cathedrals, temples, buttes and hoodoos that will get you away from most all of the park’s visitors. We’ll ford the Fremont River and stop at the Bentonite Hills, walk around, take pictures, talk about the geology and history of the area, stop at viewpoints along the way and enjoy the solitude, visit the iconic Temples of the Sun and Moon, see geological oddities such as Glass Mountain and ancient lava flows. This trip has tons of photographic opportunities and is missed by most visitors to Capitol Reef due to its remote location and often times challenging roads. If you're looking for a Jeep tour of Capitol Reef give us a shot, we don't drive Jeep but have more comfortable luxury vehicle to accommodate larger groups, enjoy the air conditioning on those hot summer days or enclosed SUV with a heater for the chilly days! We do winter tours as well.

This tour exceeded our expectations. Jason was a fantastic guide with so much knowledge of the area and we were lucky enough to have Elizabeth too to add her knowledge and perspective. We were hesitant about the spending the money but it was worth every penny. We never would have seen the places that Jason took us on our own. Even if you venture out on your own you won’t get the full picture without Jason’s narration of what you are seeing and the geology and evolution behind it. Amazing is all I can say and we can’t wait to get back to do another tour!

We spent a couple of days touring with Jason in May. He was the most accommodating guide we have ever had! The scenery was unbelievable. Our time with Jason was adventurous and educational. Could not recommend him more highly! We did both 'Loop the Fold' and the 'Cathedral Valley' tours. They were very different, and both should be highly considered for a more complete experience of all that Capitol Reef has to offer.

Best 4- 5 hours ever, drive all the way around if you can, through the river, check phone recording first, (I walked the river to be certain! it was 10" deep) They say start at the river end to be sure you're not stuck at the end and have to go back in the dark. Do the road clockwise. Sand in the roads wasn't bad, we didn't use our 4WD at all, (just in case in the river). Bentonite hills amazing, Cathedral Valley, Temples, a beautiful day!!
