This 2-hour introductory paddle on the Edge of America will get you into the basics of SUP, all in the calm flatwater of the Folly River. All safaris begin with "ground school" or SUP instructions with your Lifeguard Certified Instructors. We'll explore alongside the numerous beautiful native birds and bottlenose dolphins. We'll go with the flow, following the tides and wind direction for a great beginning paddle. At low tide we visit a private beach and go for a swim!

Group photo is taken at the end of the tour, which will be posted on our social media pages.

Level: Beginners to Advanced. Ages 8 and Up

We went on the SUP Safari with Eric. There were 4 of us and another couple. The river is beautiful and peaceful and Eric was a great teacher. We even saw dolphins! Overall, they were incredibly easy to deal with and I would highly recommend!

My friends and I had the great pleasure of doing an afternoon stand-up paddleboarding tour. Since most of us had never done stand-up paddle boarding we weren't quite sure what to expect but this far exceeded all of our expectations! The instructors were really patient and did a great job of explaining how to paddle board before we ever got out on the water. One of my friends had done a different paddle boarding tour (with another company) before and she said they had just been thrown on the paddle board and left too figure it out for themselves. So I was thrilled with their clear and patient instruction which ensured we were all comfortable and safe before we even got on the water. John was an incredible guide and seemed to know everything about the area and the wildlife. We learned so much about the area and its biodiversity. And most thrilling, we got to see a dolphin!!! Charleston SUP safari FAR exceeded our expectations. I will definitely use them again (they even do kayak tours) next time I'm in the Charleston area and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them too anyone else.

I went on a whim to Charleston by myself for a mini-vacation. I tried to pick different activities that would allow me to see this amazing city in different ways. I had done SUP once before but never really had any formal instruction. The instructor/tour guide Hayley was amazing! She went over all of safety aspects of the board and made us all feel very comfortable. She was very knowledgeable about the area and even explained how unique the dolphins are in that area. The tour ended with the most vibrant sunset I have ever seen. If anyone is wavering about whether or not to do this tour, book it now- you will not regret it.
