This 2-hour introductory paddle on the Edge of America will get you into the basics of SUP, all in the calm flatwater of the Folly River. All safaris begin with "ground school" or SUP instructions with your Lifeguard Certified Instructors. We'll explore alongside the numerous beautiful native birds and bottlenose dolphins. We'll go with the flow, following the tides and wind direction for a great beginning paddle. At low tide we visit a private beach and go for a swim!

Level: Beginners to Advanced. Ages 8 and Up

Our 9am dolphin safari was such a blast! Absolute must do while visiting Charleston. We ended up being the only 2 on the tour which was very cool. Although we didn’t get to see any dolphins, we got an awesome work out paddling against the wind and really enjoyed our time with Powers, our tour guide! He was very patient, encouraging, and knowledgeable, teaching us so much about local wildlife! He also gave us awesome suggestions of places to visit while we’re here. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience!!

If you have never tried paddleboarding before, here's your chance! Great tour and tour guide, Eric. He is really knowledgeable and patient. You can tell he is passionate about what he does explaining everything before going out on the water. We even saw dolphins! Yay! My boys are 18 and 16 and loved it! I highly recommend it. Plus it's a great workout!

Me and my son wanted to try SUP and are so happy we did! Our guide Powers was fantastic. First off, he was a great instructor especially since it was our first time. He would constantly give us little corrections which helped a ton. He also told us lots of fun facts about South Carolina and the wildlife. Thank you for a wonderful time!
