This 2-hour introductory paddle on the Edge of America will get you into the basics of SUP, all in the calm flatwater of the Folly River. All safaris begin with "ground school" or SUP instructions with your Lifeguard Certified Instructors. We'll explore alongside the numerous beautiful native birds and bottlenose dolphins. We'll go with the flow, following the tides and wind direction for a great beginning paddle. At low tide we visit a private beach and go for a swim!

Group photo is taken at the end of the tour, which will be posted on our social media pages.

Level: Beginners to Advanced. Ages 8 and Up

Had a great time at Charleston SUP Safaris! The tour team was excited about their job and that really set the tone for the entire experience. They also gave excellent instructions beforehand, which made the process SO much easier for those of us who were beginners. Lot of fun altogether, and a great workout heading upstream. Highly recommended — 5/5.

We had a fabulous evening going on the Sunset Dolphin SUP tour! The tour guide was great! His instructions were clear, concise and he made each important nugget of information into a joke so that we could remember what to do! Throughout the tour he pointed out fascinating features about the region and kept the tour interesting and engaging. We were paddling during high tide in the wind....I had trouble keeping up with the teenagers, but never felt like I was too far behind the kids. Memories were created I am grateful.

My daughter and I had never done stand up paddle boarding... Al was a great guide.... he gave a quick overview of paddling techniques and encouraged everyone to have fun. He even gave us a lot of information along the way on the ecosystem of the area.. Will definately do this again as it is a great workout and this company is an excellent choice! I HIGHLY recommend a morning on the river with Al as your guide.
