Join us on a tour that celebrates the vibrant art district of Chelsea, from the High-line to the galleries, with an artistic, architectural, and historic point of view.

This two hour tour focuses on world's most exciting art scene, home of the very best in contemporary art. A walk on the High-Line reveals a rich program of public art, made by acclaimed artists. We will focus on selected works, along with the park's history, design and the architecture around. We will also walk over the gallery quarter of NYC, located just below. We will visit some the most talked about shows on display, and uncover the stories behind the scene, artists’ biographies, work methods and different interpretations.

ИСТОРИЈА - Бићемо изложени фасцинантној историји Хај лајна и како је до њега дошло кроз иницијативу двојице младића који су почетком 2000-их одлучили да покрену јавну борбу против плана рушења напуштених пруга и предложили да га уместо тога претвори у јавни парк.

ГАЛЕРИЈЕ - Посетићемо и четврт Цхелсеа Галлериес која се налази испод Хај лајна, а посетићемо и две одабране уметничке изложбе.

The High Line

ART - We will stroll through the promenade, starting at its southern point to its northern point, during which we'll make a stop to look at some fascinating pieces of art accompanied with explaining about the artists, and work process.

ARCHITECTURE - We will point at contemporary buildings which are the spearhead of architecture nowadays, we'll hear about the brilliant architectural design of the High Line and its breathtaking landscape.

HISTORY - We will be exposed to the fascinating history of the High Line and how it came about through an initiative of two young men who decided to start a public fight against the plan to demolish the abandoned railroads at the beginning of the 2000s, and proposed to turn it into a public park instead.

GALLERIES - We will also visit the Chelsea Galleries district which is located underneath the High Line, and we'll visit two selected art exhibitions.

CITY VIEW - We will finish the tour at one of the High Line's northern points, and visit the vantage point looking over 10th Avenue, where the most impressive sculptural project of the High Line stands.

This was good but not excellent or great. For a group of 20 with NY traffic and the acoustics of many galleries a headphone system would be a smart move. Climbing up to the Highline on a weekend, pausing at the narrowest portion and blocking the way for others was inconsiderate Choice of exhibits was ok. For $50 per person the guide is not excused for “couldn’t find my iPad this morning “. You prepare things for your work. Showing us other works of the artist on the phone doesn’t cut it. We will not return

Hi Lily, we’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations, and we truly appreciate your feedback. With a large group, the High Line can feel crowded at times, but it’s only a small part of our tour (about 6–8 minutes), while the rest takes place in spacious galleries and quieter streets. As for the iPad, our tours are designed to focus on the artwork in front of us, but occasionally, we use external images to provide helpful context about an artist or movement. Our guides are professional art educators from top art schools, and while they’re always well-prepared, they’re also human—misplacing an iPad shouldn’t take away from the depth of the experience. Fascinating tour with Maya Yadid, loved The galleries selected covered an interesting variety and Maya’s knowledge is very impressive. She’s also very pleasant and interesting and we enjoyed every minute. Can’t wait for the next tour
