Paid extra for the royal experience, it was far from it. We received some towels not worth taking out of the bag (for those not dressed for the cool breeze), drink coupons that could barely be used (from the time you set your light to red to receiving service was half an hour, so half the coupons went unused). Transportation we paid for to avoid driving, but since drink service never came around that was also a waste. In fact the transportation may have been the root of the problem- we spend 20 minutes waiting for a no show at the last stop before the arrival to the Wet and Wild water park (yes this event is at a water park). When we arrived we missed the photo opportunity and sat down just seconds before dinner started. Maybe if we paid less and driver or room an Uber we would have enjoyed it.
On the plus side I had read the reviews about the food and we brought a bag of snacks and water from the hotel- only reason we made it out alive. The food was of the quality you would expect from a water park.
Only upside for me was the Chief made some good jokes. Without the jokes would be 1 star and a refund request.
Pictured is a tacky red light that you can use to flag bar service, it is as on the entire time- we couldn’t use our drink coupons fast enough with flag. If you don’t figure out where “downstairs” bar is you lose out. I eventually found them but they had started wiping down the counter, which means they’re done working. Between that and never clearing food or trash, the level of service I find to be below the cheapest fast food restaurant.
