I usually come to NYC for the theatre, but opted to try something different this trip and booked the Chinatown and Little Italy food tour. What a fun day. The tour is about 3 hours long starting with meeting our tour guide Alanna at one of Italy's finest and oldest bakeries. I opted to purchase a cup of coffee at the bakery and enjoyed it with the first tasting of the day….a cannoli. Alanna explained what to expect that day with the tour and gave us a handout of the restaurants/shops we would be touring and what would be served. We visited a bakery, cheese shop, deli shop, restaurant in Chinatown and a dumpling shop. Along with eating Alanna was very informative about the history of the area. For me, I left the tour full and had no need to get lunch. Forgot to go back and get some cannoli's to take with me to the hotel. From the last stop I asked Alanna how to get to the Tenement Museum since I was already in Little Italy and knew the museum was near by. Alanna knew exactly how to get there and I was able to finish off the afternoon at the museum. Overall I would give this tour an A and the tour guide Alanna an A+…..
