*Our mission is to make your tour the highlight of your vacation! We will do everything we can to make that happen! Our captain is a local who has navigated these waters for over 40 years!

*Our tours are a Full 2 hours around Chincoteague and Assateague! We run all brand new boats and travel over 25 miles of coastline. Sunrise and Sunset tours available!

*Our tours allow you to have the best, up close and personal experience to see ponies and other wildlife such as eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, pelicans, dolphin, and beautiful sunsets around Chincoteague and Assateague Islands.

*Each experience includes a tour of the island and cruise through small guts and waterways to get you up close to an abundance of wildlife and scenery.

*We look forward to sharing our Island with you!

We had a wonderful tour with Captain Mike. He worked around my family's travel schedule and was kind, courteous, funny, knowledgeable, and a total pro. He took us to see the famous ponies and shared lots of background knowledge about the herds and the local area. As an unexpected treat, we also get close-up views of two (!) bald eagles. I highly recommend Up the Bay Pony Tours to anyone visiting Chincoteague.

We had an AMAZING trip with Captain Mike!!!!! We honestly could not have asked for a better time! He was kind, funny, knowledgable, accommodating and GREAT with my nine year old! He made us feel comfortable and tailored the trip just for us, although we mostly wanted to follow his lead as he was incredibly knowledgable about Chincoteague and the Wildlife. His knowledge about the wild ponies was so impressive AND he got us very close to a beautiful Pony, Beach Boy. The boat tour was the highlight of our trip! The boat was BEAUTIFUL and comfortable and Captain Mike was so wonderful!! We've been on other boat tours, all of them lovely, but none of them compared to this one! Thank you Captain Mike for a great memory!

Captain Mike was friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and a great storyteller! We had opportunities of close up pony viewing. Learned a lot about Chincoteague and it’s ponies. We’d highly recommend!! 🙂
