A rare opportunity to see the ancient bond between man and bird. In a small group, you will interact with a variety of hawks, falcons and owls, learn their natural history and their differences, and see an unforgettable flying demonstration. The Beginners Experience culminates with a chance for you
to put on a glove and hold a trained falcon.

There is a licensed falconer who oversees and presents each experience. The birds engage only by their own will.

We went for my wife's birthday celebration. What a celebration it was! As luck would have it we were the only three people in the group on an off-season Wednesday in December. Our guide Deann was awesome, interesting, informative, and fun. Perhaps she was able to let her hair down with our intimate group more than normal, or maybe she's always this funny and edgy. But the birds seemed to me to be more at ease than maybe normal? Surely they pick that up from her. Relaxing, super-interesting, absolutely worth it. We would recommend in a heartbeat. Now if I can just get the feathers out of my ears...

This was the best experience! I had so much fun getting to learn about and meet the different birds. It was truly an amazing experience!

This was high on our list of truly unique and very cool things to do! Living in Colorado, I have fallen in love with all the raptors. So to be so up close and personal with owls, hawks and falcons was amazing. And to be able to actually hold a falcon at the end was incredible. We just did the beginner class, but really hope to make it back to do the next one. It's nice to have a whole year before we'd have to retake the beginner class before being able to do the second class. We were celebrating our anniversary, but totally want to go back with our teens. Deanna was our falconer & we absolutely loved her. She's so knowledgeable and funny and personable. She very much added to the experience. Also, Nathan drove us from Broadmoor Outfitters to the couple of places where they house the birds and then where they fly them. He also was very friendly and fun.
