Great trip with a very personable and knowledgeable guide, Joe, who introduced us to a couple manatees near the launch site, as we took off. Temperature was perfect, water was very still, and sunset was beautiful. Joe was a font of knowledge, explaining bioluminescence, among other things. Only disappointment was a lack of color in the water--toward the end of the two hours, we could see much white sparkling water as we ran our hands through the water; however, the only other colors were in the little critters (ctenophores) we captured with nets. Whenever one was caught, it turned blue, and it was fascinating to examine them all together in the bottle in which Joe collected our catch. A very worthwhile experience!
