This tour is totally customizable – you choose the length of the tour, what time you want to be picked up, and what you want to see.

I love San Francisco and have spent 20 years studying and exploring the city. I’ll work with you to plan your tour so you can see the famous sites and the hidden gems other tours can't go to or don't know about. I’ve designed this to be the type of tour I would take if I visited San Francisco, but where you go is up to you. I make suggestions along the way, but how long you spend at any site is up to you. You're never rushed, and never have to wait for other people. It's all about you!

Plus, it's fun! In the convertible MINI Cooper, you see everything up close and personal as we drive along.

I love showing guests San Francisco, and talking about the history and culture of this unique and special city.

Call it Postcard Row, the Painted Ladies, or the Full House houses, everyone loves seeing this site in person. And if you want to get out and take a picture, you can. As with all locations, if you want to get out is up to you.

Presidio of San Francisco

Drive through this former Army base turned national park. Stop and see the Yoda statue if you want.

North Beach

Learn the history and culture of this neighborhood that is a favorite of locals and visitors alike.

Lombard Street

If the time is right and there isn't too much traffic (usually weekend and holiday afternoons) we drive down the famous crooked st. If we can't drive down, we can at least drive by, and get out for photos if you want to.

Chinatown

Drive through this neighborhood, and learn about its history and culture. As I talk about the architecture, you can look up an see it as we drive through in the convertible MINI Cooper.

Haight-Ashbury

Drive down the street made famous in the 1960's, and learn why the music and culture made resonated around the world.

Golden Gate Park

Drive through the park, see the museums and the Japanese Tea garden. Guests enjoy driving through and learning the history of this urban garden created on top of 1,017 acres of sand. If open, there is an opportunity to go into the observation tower of the DeYoung museum.

Twin Peaks

Experience a spectacular view of the entire city, the Bay, and if the weather is clear, bridges as far south as Silicon Valley and up near the wine country.

16 Avenue Tiled Steps

The 16th Ave Tiled steps are only part of what you can see. I can show you a lesser known but equally as impressive tiled staircase, and what these staircases looked like before they were transformed into this urban art piece.

Fantastic Private Car tour provided by Reed, contact Reed directly at 4155295404 or his website smallcarbigtimetours, from the moment I contacted him directly I knew that this private tour of San Francisco was perfect for my trip. Communication prior to my trip was excellent and details of what we wanted to see and do taken into account. Reed sent out useful information about San Francisco prior to our trip which was a great help too. We were greeted by Reed on the morning of our tour, who was extremely friendly, the knowledge and insight he has about San Francisco past and present shows he truly loves the city. We learnt so much, things we would never have know or found out without doing this tour. During our tour we had little stops and photo ops and never once felt rushed to get back in the car or to move on move on - like other trips. Reed also listened to what we had planned for the remaining of our time in San Francisco and amended our little tour accordingly, like he said from the first contact the tour is bespoke and nothing set in stone, so can be changed and make to suit your own desire. It was thrilling crossing the Golden Gate Bridge in the open top mini and driving down the windy Lombard street, the envy I’m sure of all those trying to walk down. We saw some hidden treasure that we never new existed and I’m sure many who don’t do this trip won’t known about either, the painted steps are beautiful and so unique. If you do one thing then do this tour. We saw so much and learned so much, not just about what we saw but other info about San Francisco and Alcatraz (we had a heads up details about the Indians prior to visiting Alcatraz). The tour in total was perfect, beyond wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable and memorable. It’s a must and well worth every penny!!!

My friend and I loved this tour! We had limited time to see the city, coming off a cruise ship and this got us around to all the sites quickly. Pickup and drop off locations were flexible. Historical information was detailed and informative. Our driver took a ton of great photos of us. We had so much fun!

Great tour! Tour guide was very knowledgable about San Francisco. We visit SF quiet often so we were looking for something different and unique and this tour did not disappoint!
