This tour is totally customizable – you choose the length of the tour, what time you want to be picked up, and what you want to see.

I love San Francisco and have spent 20 years studying and exploring the city. I’ll work with you to plan your tour so you can see the famous sites and the hidden gems other tours can't go to or don't know about. I’ve designed this to be the type of tour I would take if I visited San Francisco, but where you go is up to you. I make suggestions along the way, but how long you spend at any site is up to you. You're never rushed, and never have to wait for other people. It's all about you!

Plus, it's fun! In the convertible MINI Cooper, you see everything up close and personal as we drive along.

Drive through this former Army base turned national park. Stop and see the Yoda statue if you want.

North Beach

Learn the history and culture of this neighborhood that is a favorite of locals and visitors alike.

Lombard Street

If the time is right and there isn't too much traffic (usually weekend and holiday afternoons) we drive down the famous crooked st. If we can't drive down, we can at least drive by, and get out for photos if you want to.

Chinatown

Drive through this neighborhood, and learn about its history and culture. As I talk about the architecture, you can look up an see it as we drive through in the convertible MINI Cooper.

Haight-Ashbury

Drive down the street made famous in the 1960's, and learn why the music and culture made resonated around the world.

Golden Gate Park

Drive through the park, see the museums and the Japanese Tea garden. Guests enjoy driving through and learning the history of this urban garden created on top of 1,017 acres of sand. If open, there is an opportunity to go into the observation tower of the DeYoung museum.

Twin Peaks

Experience a spectacular view of the entire city, the Bay, and if the weather is clear, bridges as far south as Silicon Valley and up near the wine country.

The 16th Ave Tiled steps are only part of what you can see. I can show you a lesser known but equally as impressive tiled staircase, and what these staircases looked like before they were transformed into this urban art piece.

We booked a tour with Reed as an "intro to San Francisco" activity on our first day in the city. It turned out to be a great idea because we used everything we learned on the tour throughout our stay in the city. Not only did we get to see all the highlights of the city we also heard much more history behind everything that made it a much more memorable experience. We also went to two of the restaurants he recommended and they were great as well! The tour is a great way to see many things tailored to your interests so you can make it as personalized as you want or you can let him lead the way! We saw more in one afternoon with Reed than we did in 3 days on our own while visiting San Fran. Reed allowed us to customize our afternoon with him to reflect what we were interested in seeing. While he gave great suggestions during the planning phase, our tour was based on our itinerary. We wanted to experience the local culture by checking out a couple local places for cocktails and he was more than glad to accommodate us. You will not be disappointed if you book a tour with Reed. We only had one afternoon in San Francisco, and wanted to see as much as possible. Reed did not disappoint! He customized everything to our taste and schedule in a way we would have never gotten with a large group tour. I wasn't sure if my 7 year old would be interested enough in a tour of any kind but he loved every second of it! Reed was also super helpful with advice for where to go in the city and how to get around.
