This tour is totally customizable – you choose the length of the tour, what time you want to be picked up, and what you want to see.

I love San Francisco and have spent 20 years studying and exploring the city. I’ll work with you to plan your tour so you can see the famous sites and the hidden gems other tours can't go to or don't know about. I’ve designed this to be the type of tour I would take if I visited San Francisco, but where you go is up to you. I make suggestions along the way, but how long you spend at any site is up to you. You're never rushed, and never have to wait for other people. It's all about you!

Plus, it's fun! In the convertible MINI Cooper, you see everything up close and personal as we drive along.

I love showing guests San Francisco, and talking about the history and culture of this unique and special city.

Call it Postcard Row, the Painted Ladies, or the Full House houses, everyone loves seeing this site in person. And if you want to get out and take a picture, you can. As with all locations, if you want to get out is up to you.

Drive through this former Army base turned national park. Stop and see the Yoda statue if you want.

North Beach

Learn the history and culture of this neighborhood that is a favorite of locals and visitors alike.

Lombard Street

If the time is right and there isn't too much traffic (usually weekend and holiday afternoons) we drive down the famous crooked st. If we can't drive down, we can at least drive by, and get out for photos if you want to.

Chinatown

Drive through this neighborhood, and learn about its history and culture. As I talk about the architecture, you can look up an see it as we drive through in the convertible MINI Cooper.

Haight-Ashbury

Drive down the street made famous in the 1960's, and learn why the music and culture made resonated around the world.

Golden Gate Park

Drive through the park, see the museums and the Japanese Tea garden. Guests enjoy driving through and learning the history of this urban garden created on top of 1,017 acres of sand. If open, there is an opportunity to go into the observation tower of the DeYoung museum.

Twin Peaks

Experience a spectacular view of the entire city, the Bay, and if the weather is clear, bridges as far south as Silicon Valley and up near the wine country.

16 Avenue Tiled Steps

The 16th Ave Tiled steps are only part of what you can see. I can show you a lesser known but equally as impressive tiled staircase, and what these staircases looked like before they were transformed into this urban art piece.

I highly recommend Reed and his wonderful Mini Cooper tour. It's the perfect way to see all the beautiful sights the city has to offer as well as have a fun time. We had a morning filled with laughter and interesting information after being picked up from our hotel and then dropped off at our desired shopping location. Reed's dining recommendations as well as other helpful tips were very helpful. Lots of fun!!

What a fantastic day trip! We booked Reed for a full day, and it was great! Reed picked us up promptly, and we began a drive through China town and down Lombard street. We passed through The Presidio and through the fog over the Golden Gate Bridge, with Reed's commentary and historical information coming across loud and clear through the sound system. Onward to Muir Woods and then Sonoma, where we had a lovely time at Cline Vineyards. A quick stop in Sausolito for lunch, then back across the bridge~ this time in full sun! Not sure how he managed that~ but it was great! We drove through Golden Gate Park and The Haight and then stopped to view the Painted Ladies. Reed was attentive to our needs and requests, accommodated our schedule, and provided great commentary and information along the way. The Mini Cooper Convertible was perfect for us as my husband is over 6' and I am claustrophobic! Blankets and cell phone chargers were readily available. Having a local do the driving makes sight seeing so much more enjoyable! Thanks for a great day!!

We absolutely loved this. In fact, after nearly a week long visit in the city, this was our highlight. We went on a tour with Reed on our first full day in the city. This was super fun because he provides so much history and such a thorough tour of the city that we loved it. Reed is entertaining and filled with facts. You can customize the tour to be 1, 2, 3, or 4 hours. We did a 3 hour tour and basically saw everything we could have ever wished for. Reed will stop at anytime for you to get out, take a picture, grab a drink, whatever. We did a lot of things while in San Francisco and I consider this our highlight. It’s also quite economical for what you get. I am 6’3” and weigh 250. I was worried I would be a sardine in the back of his Mini Cooper. On the contrary, it was comfortable, romantic, and relaxing to sit and absorb stories and sites. If I could recommend a couple of highlights from our trip it would be Small Car Big Time Tours, Alcatraz, and the Cable Cars. Everything else we did was fun but this was the frosting on the cake. We were tourists to this fun city but I also recommend this for people planning to move to the city or take a job here. What a great way to see and learn of this fun area.
