This 4.5 hour Daufuskie Island trip provides a glimpse into a fascinating chapter of Lowcountry history on the undeveloped side of the island. Learn the rich history of the Native Americans, European settlers, the cotton trade, and the Gullah culture. We encourage you to wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring water, snacks, and sunscreen.

We had the best tour of Daufuskie Island with Doreen as our Boat Captain and Tour Guide. She has a booming personality and we loved spending time with her. She is so knowledgeable and passionate about the Island, the Gullah people and their culture. We learned so much and we were so impressed by this island that has its own long history. Thank you Doreen for a great tour!

Outside Hilton Head Daufauskie tour with Captain and guide Doreen Kuenzler excellent!!! Wow!! This tour was one of a kind. Doreen has a wealth of knowledge and was wonderful! The weather was great. The boat ride over and back was amazing. Lots of wildlife. Saw about 10 dolphins. The island was rustic and we had many interesting stops including the church and indigo and iron artistsans. We even met the Iron artist while there. I would highly recommend this Daufauskie history and artisan tour.
