A family from Japan with 5th and 1st grade children participated in Turtle University.
Pick up and drop off near your hotel in Waikiki.
The staff were all bilingual in English and various languages and knew not only about the ocean, but also turtles, ecosystems and sustainability, so it was an experience that allowed us to think about sustainability, not just watching turtles snorkeling.
An Authority staff member named Maki, a Japanese turtle expert with a bursting brightness, joined the Japanese family. We had the kids caught on the boards and watched a lot of green turtles at close range with Maki's help.
The children became cold in the sea. I don't think you should wear a rush guard to protect against the cold. It is recommended to bring a bath towel, a dry T-shirt and trainers on board. In addition, if there are waves on the boat or in the sea, it is easy to get drunk, so measures such as anti-sickness are recommended.
After swimming, you can have warm cocoa or tea. You can also request an additional photography service by a photographer.
On the way back, we took in the view of Diamond Head and Hawaii.
Thank you for the wonderful experience.
