I took my 6 year-old twins for a half day trip as the grand finale of our guys' outdoor adventure weekend. I researched all of the companies in Maupin, and River Drifters seemed to pay a lot of attention to making sure they accommodated families with small children as much as everyone else. That impression turned out to be absolutely true, and our guide Devan did a great job guiding the raft through some thrilling rapids and splashes without dumping anyone out of the boat. My kids were so excited to go rafting that I was afraid it wouldn't live up to the hype they built up, but everything absolutely worked out perfectly. These are the guys to trust with a day of your vacation, for sure.

We took our 10 and 12 year olds for their first whitewater adventure on the deschutes river. Mike was our guide and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience for all of us! The kids had a fantastic time, class 3 rapids that were fun and a guide who was so patient, making sure the kids got the most out of the day. We spent two hours on the river, lots of great wildlife on the banks and in the water, and it was warm enough we didn’t need any wetsuits! The company has a beautiful facility, super flexible schedule and great staff. I would book with them again and request Mike :)
