Family of 4 who were so disappointed in so many ways. The park was way over-crowded. Even after arriving at 7am and waiting to be among the first entrants, you still end up in a 90-minute line for the most popular attractions, unless you've paid extra for the Genie + pass.
We were astonished how many adults were Disneyland without children. We encountered many rude adults who didn't seem to subscribe to the "magic" at the "happiest place on earth." When my family of 4 tried to sit together at a restaurant, a couple (no kids) pulled a chair away from my son and said (very meanly), "We're taking this chair." I politely explained we were a family of 4 (and were there first, actually) and the woman simply said "good for you" and took the chair anyway. OMG.
I remember visiting in 1985 and the atmosphere was completely different There were noticeably fewer "cast members" this time. No one really stood out to me as friendly, fun or courteous. As I passed one cast member, he joked to me, "watch out for the invisible puddle!" I think he was trying to be funny, but it came across as creepy, and even a little mean.
Net net----so much money spent and I was left feeling disappointed, taken advantage of and sad. I really feel as if Disney has lost its way and is simply desperate for money these days. Kind of like the airlines.
