We didn't see any manatees or monkeys. We did see some turtles, alligators, and fish. The scenery was nice. You can't really see through the boats like you would expect. You load and unload the boats yourself.
Our guide was nice enough but I couldnt stop thinking about the movie "strange wilderness" I got the vibe he was thrown off by having children join the tour and not being able to swear freely. Felt like all his jokes were supposed to have punchlines he had to adapt for the children.
Once I remembered the movie "strange wilderness" I couldnt stop laughing at how much our guide reminded me of the main character. Possibly high, couldn't remember much, felt like he was the guy they call when the other guides don't show up to work. Very "chill" guy, the talked super slow (probably to stretch out the very limited amount of information he had to share with us)
Overall not bad. But definitely disappointing to not see any manatees or monkeys. And not being able to see through the bottom of the boats was surprising (they did work slightly better in direct sunlight)
If you are here for long period of time and have some money to waste and nothing else to do, I'd say give it a go. Don't recommend making this the main event for a trip as is was pretty underwhelming.
