My wife and I spent a wonderful Saturday afternoon on the Downcity Food Tour. Paige was the guide and was enthusiastic, very helpful, and loved her adopted city of Providence. We weren't aware that the Downcity area is experiencing a rapid growth in new, original, locally-owned restaurants and food locations - not chains. A hip vibe in the area. We had 7 tastings of delicious foods - all of the store representatives clearly loved what they were doing. The tastings were eclectic from doughnuts and pretzels to very high end desserts. Well worth the price of the tour and we are thinking of now taking the Newport tour.

Took this tour yesterday April 21 as a birthday present from my wife. I was worried as I do not have a very adventurous palate. This tour was fabulous and the tour guide, Paige Wilson , not only shared some interesting history of Providence but showed us some NEW and exciting eateries. Previously we would always go to Federal Hill and nowhere else. Now we have some new destinations to go to in the future. I highly recommend this tour and enjoyed it immensely. Paige was great and we hope to take her tour in Newport this summer. The restaurants we went to were fantastic and there was something for every one and every taste.
