We loved this food tour!! Even though my wife and I live in Providence and had been to some of the spots before, we were introduced to delicious new dishes and history about each location. Jack was the best tour guide and made the whole tour fun despite the rainy day! We immediately went home and talked it up to all of our Providence friends.

Ellen our guide was amazing. Great energy and seemed to really love their job. The food options were not awesome. I was a bit disappointed in where we were taken especially the boba tea place and the sandwich shop. Neither were special and felt like you could get the food anywhere.

Thank you for your review. We recognize that everyone’s taste is very different and you may not like everything. Each of our very different places have a background story, in this case the sandwich shop has been in business for 40 years with over 90 unique sandwiches. At the Taiwanese Tea Shop which is new, you were also served a popular street food of Taiwan which has often been a favorite on the tour. We always ask the favorites at the end and a good sign of the tour is that the answers are all very different and it is often the background stories that people connect with. We try to have very diverse tastings and our hope is you will find places that make you curious enough to want to go back to try. We’re always happy to offer recommendations to other restaurants we can’t get to as well if you are looking for something special. Overall, judging from all the other reviews the stops seem to have been well received by our guests. Otherwise, we’re glad you enjoyed Ellen as a tour guide, we really think she is amazing too!

We enjoyed learning about the history of Providence and Rhode Island, the food industry and meeting other participants from all over the country. We particularly appreciated the enthusiasm, the story telling, and the leadership of Ellen, our group leader.
