Me, my wife, her Mum and her fiancé spent the day with Lauren on the food tour this Wednesday, and had a fab time!
The tour was the day before Hurricane Matthew was due to arrive, and very kindly both Lauren, Krystal (the tour organiser) and most of the restaurants were willing to go ahead with the tour, despite the ticket operator initially trying to cancel due to safety worries.
Worries about the hurricane aside, the weather was absolutely fine, and we enjoyed the tour on a gloriously sunny day in West Palm Beach, enjoying the local cuisine.
We got to try some delicious pizza, some very appetising sprouts (yes you read this correctly) and a beautiful Prosecco cocktail but to name a few of the treats on offer.
My wife was even treated to a lovely little cake in one of the stops along the tour for her birthday!
One of the restaurants had pulled out due to worrying about the hurricane; a double tasting had been arranged for us as a result to compensate for this, which I thought was a classy touch.
Lauren the tour guide was friendly and welcoming, and was a great guide around West Palm Beach, especially on a surreal day where lots of people were boarding up their shops and homes getting ready for a hurricane!
All in all a wonderful tour and great fun, and we were particularly happy the tour went ahead.
A lot of our options on holiday have been cut short due to the hurricane, but we are very pleased this went ahead, and was a real highlight of our trip.
Thanks Lauren and West Palm Beach Food Tours!

WOW...we are thrilled to be the "highlight of your trip" to West Palm Beach! I hope you'll remember West Palm Beach for tropical fruit, a man by the name of Henry Flagler and some wonderfully welcoming restaurant owners. Do come again...we promise not to have a side order of a hurricane!
