We did the Downtown West Palm Beach Food Tour and thought it was a wonderful experience. For 3 hours, you get a lot of information, delicious food and a fun social activity. We opted for the upgrade with the extra cocktails and although it was only 2 extra drinks, they were culinary creations. We could go either way on whether it was worth it. Our tour guide Cassie was great at sharing history and stories, and invested in us as people - she was fabulous.
One note, we didn't have breakfast in anticipation of the tour and that was a mistake. Over 3 hours you get a lot but not enough to sustain you from when you wake up until 2 p.m.!
On our tour we started at Johan Joe's which featured amazing coffee and sweet treats. It was a very comfortable atmosphere for the group to introduce themselves, share some laughs and settle in.
Then we went to Hullaballoo where we enjoyed chicken meatballs that were a 5 out of 5, and our first specialty cocktail that was a fresh berry vodka concoction - wonderful! The head chef came out and greeted us which was impressive. His engagement really made the experience feel special.
After that we trekked to Pizza Girls. The pizza was good but I suspect when you walk in and grab a slice for lunch when it is fresh and hot, it is actually better. We would like to go back because we know the joint has an amazing reputation. The Manhattan (meaty pizza) was tasty as was the white pizza offered to us.
Across from Pizza Girls we went to Pistache which was a huge hit! We had cauliflower and broccolini, and at first I thought, "okay... just veggies?" It was phenomenally deliciously. We were blown away. And the specialty beverage was a pear martini - also lovely.
We moved then to Ganache Bakery Cafe where we were delighted with one of the owners giving us a "show and tell' moment on opening (and tasting) coconuts for their water. My husband just about lost his mind over the key lime pie because it was outstanding.
The final stop was The Blind Monk and it was a perfect finale. Everything they served was so yummy, especially the cuban sandwich. Their prosecco mojito was very tasty! I've been to The Blink Monk before and highly recommend going for their cheese and wine.
All in all, on the food tour you'll get bites and sips that will give you a wonderful variety of the tastes of both WPB and Florida, while hearing a lot of great details about the area. We would highly recommend the food tour!

Thank you for a wonderful "play by play" of your food tour day! I know other guests will appreciate your recommendation to eat a light breakfast. I always say, if we put all of the tastings in front of you at once, you'd think we were crazy, but it's nicely paced out over a 3-hour period. Our goal is for our guests to finish the day pleasantly full. Thanks again and we hope you'll join us for our Dixie Dining Corridor Food Tour next time.
