What if you could snorkel with the most graceful, beautiful creatures of the ocean?

Night Manta Snorkeling tour is the #1 rated activity on the Big Island for a reason. We take you out to one of two different manta sites with professional captain and crew to show you some of the Big Island's most majestic sights: manta rays. The ocean's most graceful giants are attracted by our custom-built LED light board and come right up to our boat to say hello. Then they swim around and around us, like they're showing us their favorite places in the sea before disappearing into the darkness again. It's truly incredible!

After we've had our fill of swimming with these beautiful creatures, the boat heads back towards shore while we stargaze on deck under the stars (you might even see shooting stars!). It's truly the ultimate Hawaiian adventure!

I Did the 7pm Manta Ray snorkel tour with my 12 and 14 year old sons. Competent and friendly staff made us feel safe the entire time. Explained mantas are actually sharks but have NO teeth, and no barbs/stingers. We were split into groups of 6 people per 2 guides with one " light board". Less than 2 minutes after entering the water, 7 GIANT manta rays came to do graceful underwater flips INCHES from our bodies. Swarms of small fish darted around, and a few fish about 12 inches long gathered around our lights aswell. The shore, ocean floor, and boat, were never beyond sight. 45 minutes total time in ocean. Warm shower on deck of newest boat in the harbor. They gave us the Groupon pricing (even though I didn't use Groupon), plus a Kamaina (local resident) discount when I called and booked directly with Hawaiian Adventures, making the experience total less than $300 for people!

The boat was really nice. The seats were comfortable and the ride wasn't too bumpy when I went. Staff was experienced, friendly and helpfull. The equipment was pretty new and very comfortable (I have the same mask at home). We definitely saw some mantas out there. It was awesome! And most important: it was animal-friendly. The staff was definitely closely involved in the welfare of the animals. Which is an important aspect for me.

The entire family enjoyed it! It was absolutely beautiful and amazing to see all the manta rays (that all had their own names) swim directly under you! I completely recommend. The service was amazing. There are free drinks (nonalcoholic) water, teas, sodas. As an added bonus they have a lineup of jokes that they tell throughout the trip!
