This Extended Lakes Helicopter flight takes you beyond the lake view flight. You will fly directly over Douglas Dam, and proceed over the lake. In the summer you get great sun-glistening views of the water and the people enjoying their time on the lake. During the winter months, the water level is lower allowing for incredible views of exposed islands and coves. Minimum of 2 guests to book flight.

The Extended Douglas Lake tour was awesome! I greatly enjoyed the view of the lake and surrounding area. The helicopter ride was very smooth and the pilot was friendly and explained about the region. I would not have guessed that we were traveling at about 120 mph and 1,400 feet in the air. This trip takes approximately 8-10 minutes. Helicopters can hold between 3 and 6 passengers. I would talk with Scenic Tours to see what is available during your visit. The staff at the helicopter station were friendly and willing to answer any and all questions. You will have the option to purchase photos of your flight. You may reserve a flight time by visiting the Scenic Helicopter Tour website or by calling their office. Advance reservations are not normally required; particularly during the week. I would recommend making advance reservations on or near a holiday. I highly recommend this tour if you have a desire to see the mountains and lake from another perspective. Shorter and longer tours are available. Look in area brochures for a 10 to 15% discount if you plan to pay once you arrive at the helicopter station.

The flight itself was amazing, I'm a first time flyer and loved it. But when we landed I told my fiance that it didn't seem like we were on it for 19 mins. So fast forward to when we got home and watched the video we were only on the flight 7 min and 30 seconds and we paid 128. Dollars for it with the head set. So the experience was awesome but I don't feel like we got what we paid for especially since they have a 9 min flight that is a lot cheaper. So my advice to anyone wanting to do this is check ur time while ur still there because if I would of known the time frame while we were there i would of said something to them about it.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable we enjoyed the helicopter ride very much, the next time we will take the longest ride to be able to enjoy the most views.
