I've been an outdoor adventure guide in Big Bear for the last five years. I've been exploring all the best hiking trails in the Big Bear Valley for the last 20 years. It's hard to find an easy hike in Big Bear; A lot of trails are steep and hard for little kids. This trail is actually stroller-friendly also, which you can not say about a lot of hiking trails in the mountain communities.
I love the peace and solitude of this trail in the woods. It's hiked mostly by locals who live in this neighborhood and is not a tourist spot. I personally love to share the local history around the Big Bear Valley. I really enjoy pointing out different flora and fauna to my younger guests and teaching them how interesting nature can be like the wild native insects we might see on the trails

Definitely family friendly hiking! Amber is very knowledgeable about multiple trails around big bear, wild life and the plants. We learned a lot and enjoyed the hike very much. She took us on a trail that was stroller friendly, our stroller made it to the top. The hot chocolate at the top of the trail was also very nice 😋 would love to do another hiking tour with amber again when we visit big bear

If you’re looking for something special to do in Big Bear, I would highly recommend booking Amber for a private tour. My fiancée [crazy to be able to say that now] just finished snow-showing around the mountains, where we got engaged at the top! What an incredible experience. Thank you so much, Amber! Amber is such a sweet soul and so is her pup Carly! The hike was well timed, the coffee was sublime, and we loved the conversation and atmosphere. We had a blast!! Will absolutely be doing another hike with Amber again.
