Really enjoyed the tour; it was neat to see a house that Frank Lloyd Wright used to explore some of his ideas. The tour was a good length and had good information; a good mix of architectural information and personal anecdotes about Frank Lloyd Wright himself. I was pleased that the tour stuck to its hour-length and never overwhelmed me with information. The grounds were my favorite part-the trees were spectacular. The gift shop was well-stocked and the staff were friendly.

We had 1/2-day in the Chicago area (which we have previously visited many times) and, as FLW fans, chose to spend it in Oak Park. There is a cluster of about 25 homes in a 6-8 square-block area, surrounding the Home and Studio. You can google a number of good walking-tour maps to show you the street addresses of these privately-owned homes (which you can see either by foot or by car, since only the exteriors are viewable). The Home and Studio complex is a classic example of his visionary work. Tours are available, though at the time we visited, visitor numbers were somewhat limited for social distancing. You might consider buying your tour tickets in advance. Allow about 2.5- 3 hours for your visit.

Interesting to see the house, it was a very depressing house however interesting to hear about Wright from the knowledgeable tour guide.
