This French Quarter walking tour is conducted by city licensed guides and emphasize the history, architecture, and folklore of this fascinating city. Tour and store proceeds benefit Friends of the Cabildo, a non-profit volunteer group to provide support for the Louisiana State Museum. Purchasing a walking tour ticket also gets you admission to the 1850 House Museum, above the store, that shows what life was like in a typical Pontalba Apartment in the 1850s. Restroom is provided for walking tour guests as well.

Tours go out rain or shine.

I am a New Orleans native, and I found the tour enlightening and informative. My guide, Lee showed us interesting architectural details common to distinct time periods as well as cultures and pointed out buildings that I have never noticed and explained their history. It was amazing how two hours could pass so quickly!

Happened upon the tour offering while out strolling Such an informative, entertaining and enjoyable tour. Our tour guide Susan was so very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Would highly recommend to anyone curious about the French quarter or NOLA!
