Overview

This French Quarter walking tour is conducted by city licensed guides and emphasize the history, architecture, and folklore of this fascinating city. Tour and store proceeds benefit Friends of the Cabildo, a non-profit volunteer group to provide support for the Louisiana State Museum. Purchasing a walking tour ticket also gets you admission to the 1850 House Museum, above the store, that shows what life was like in a typical Pontalba Apartment in the 1850s. Restroom is provided for walking tour guests as well.

We use the VOX Whisper System. Staff is responsible for cleaning each machine. The ear and mic buds are disposable. Units will only be used once per week to allow for rotating a clean unit to guests & guides. Guests can remove mask outside during the tour, inside state law requires a mask.

David was a charming, interested and knowledgible guide who gave my wife and I a thoroughly enjoyable two hour walking experience of the French Quarter. It was good value for money. The group of six attending, may be bad news for the charity, but the small group experience meant that hearing and interacting with David was much more available than it might be in a cruise ship organised group of 40.

Our guide Steve was simply an excellent storyteller, bringing the history of NOLA to life for us. The pace of the tour was perfect for our small group, and overall it far exceeded my expectations. We felt it was money well spent to enhance our visit to this wonderful and interesting city. The 1850 House Museum was a welcome bonus. Thank you!
