We did the walking tour on a Saturday at 10:30. My understanding is that each volunteer guide designs their own tour, so each has it's own flavor and route. We had Ryan, who deserves an Oscar for best volunteer walking tour guide. The tour was supposed to be 2 hours, but ended up being closer to 2 1/2, which was much appreciated. Ryan took us through the history of the French Quarter from the 1700's - current. We would walk a little and then stop and he would talk. He always found a shady spot and no one had any trouble hearing. He had vast knowledge of the architecture and history of the French Quarter and a great love for his home city. Beforehand I was a little concerned that this might not be the right speed for my 16 year old daughter, but she enjoyed it almost as much as I did. I highly recommend!
