Searching for an affordable and fun way to get out to the famous Salt Lick BBQ and two (2) beautiful Texas Hill Country wineries? Look no further! This Hill Country BBQ and Wine Shuttle is great for solo travelers, couples, and small groups. The shuttle departs from the Austin Visitor Center at 10:30AM and heads out to the Driftwood area of the Texas Hill Country approx. 35-45 minutes southwest of Austin. Enjoy comfortable transportation in a Mercedes Sprinter van with a friendly local guide. Spend 45-50 minutes at each stop. Food/drinks not included in the shuttle price; guests pay directly at the restaurant and wineries.

  • Tour departs from the AUSTIN VISITOR CENTER located at 103 East 5th Street, Austin, TX 78701, USA
  • Minimum drinking age is 21 years old.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time for check in. We are unable to delay the tour for guests who arrive late.
  • Parking is available in the Austin Convention Center Garage which is connected to the Austin Visitor Center. Enter the garage on E 5th St between Red River and Sabine.
  • The tour runs rain or shine, however we reserve the right to cancel the tour in the event of extreme weather and/or hazardous road conditions that would potentially affect the safety of our guides and guests.
  • Guests with limited mobility are welcome to bring a wheelchair or portable scooter on board to be folded and placed in the rear of the van. The vans are not equipped with a ramp or wheelchair lift however, so all guests must be able to step up into the vehicle (about 12 inches).
  • If you have cold or flu-like symptoms or if you are feeling ill in any way, please do not join the tour.

On Monday April 9th we did the Real Austin City Tour with Justin. He was professional and funny. The tour guides are all musicians and know the city inside and out. He dropped us off at our hotel a few blocks away and also let us go up to the second floor of the State Capitol (which I toured 3 years ago when I visited the city). Then on Tuesday we did the Salt Lick BBQ and wine tour with Joe, who was equally as great! The tour guides we had did not seemed burned out and you can tell they really enjoy their jobs and meeting new people. I would highly recommend this tour company for visiting Austin. Great job Justin and Joe!

What a great way to see some of the sights outside of Austin and eat some AMAZING BBQ !!! We had Joe as our guide of 7 girls. It is so nice that they come and pick you up in the van before venturing out to Hill Country. What a fun day and a nice way to spend some time in Austin. I'm so happy I booked this tour - highly recommend for any girls trips.

Our tour guide, Joe was absolutely amazing! He shared great information about the city of Austin and also made the time we had really fun! The wineries he took us to were incredible and he always gave us space to enjoy our own personal time and ensured that each winery, as well as lunch, was covered before hand and we were informed on how much we had and what time to leave at! Overall, an amazing amazing tour and would 100% recommend!
