Explore the natural wonders of Molokini Crater, a volcanic islet 3 miles (4.8 km) off the coast of Maui, on this snorkeling tour from Maalaea. Surrounded by clear tropical waters, this extinct cone is home to many species of marine life, such as fish, sea urchins, sharks, manta rays, and coral. Molokini is a marine preserve, meaning nothing can be disturbed, keeping the island and underwater environment pristine. You'll also explore Turtle Town, and admire native birds. Two water slides, a glass bottom viewing room, and a "leap of faith" are also available if you don't want to snorkel or finish early. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, soda, and juice are included.

Great family trip; I'm sure it matters on the weather, but the water was crystal clear and beautiful. Saw plenty of turtles as well. More importantly, the staff and captain were excellent. The captain was very informative on the history of the crater and the staff were excellent, cleaning up and taking your trash as you eat, offering water to stay hydrated, etc. They were always coming around to make sure you had what you needed. Staff in the water to make sure you were safe while snorkeling and a spot to rest if you got winded. You were also able to slide off the boat and jump from the 2nd deck into the water. Bonus: $2 drinks towards the end of the trip, can't beat that. When I read the reviews, one person complained about the restrictions when you are in the water. You will have plenty of space to snonrkel. Don't forget to tip the staff of the boat, they work hard and deserve it.

Turtles and more. We were able to see a very diverse cross section on marine life at both stops. The crew of the calypso were very professional and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs and enhance our experience.

There were so many things we loved about our snorkeling adventure with the Calypso crew. Molokini had so many fish and a real highlight for me was going down the slide from the 2nd deck. Lunch was provided, and after our first stop. I had the pork sandwich and it was great. 2nd stop we swam with turtles at Makena. They were so cool. We will definitely do this trip again.
